Leslie on our way out for a walk.
A couple of weeks ago my neighbor asked if we would like some old toys. She said her 8 year old son had outgrown his kitchen and offered it to us. Leslie had just gotten back from her Grandma Wilson's where she loved playing with her cousins in the play kitchen. We went out to Target and bought some dishes and stuff and spent $14 for a package of maybe 20 items . That weekend we found a garage sale selling huge Ziploc bags full of kitchen food and equipment for $1 a bag.
We also picked up a brand new crepe maker for $1! My mom was actually more excited than we were.
Saturday we went garage sale shopping, ran errands and then went on a picnic with my friend Laura. We all enjoyed being able to swing at the park.
Then we decided to try feeding the ducks at the Park, which she loved. We will have to go back again soon and bring more bread.
On Friday I went to HEB with Lauren to get 5 lbs crawfish and that was quite the experience. They told us to get it out of a bin ourselves, handed us tongs and paper bags. Lauren was horrified and couldn't bring herself to grab more than two so I grabbed the rest. Leslie was actually really scared of them when she first saw them in the bag and when I pulled on out to show her. However in the afternoon as we prepped them she was so excited to be involved and could not stop squealing as she watched them.( David had never had crawfish which is why we bought them.)
She really wanted to hose them off and kept getting mad as I dumped out the water as we were purging them.
